Cherry Tomatoes – I have 3 pots of these babies growing on our back porch. I was thrilled to discover over the weekend that they’ve finally started to turn red. Soon we’ll have half a billion of the tasty little delights covering our countertops. The J-man loves tomatoes so they won’t last long around here.
Basil – Last night the highlight of dinner was fresh caprese salad. Definitely a favorite summertime dish in this house. I used a huge NJ tomato from the farm stand down the way, violet infused balsamic vinaigrette from my home town, fresh mozzarella from the local deli and basil from our very own plant. Yum!
